Remote Coding & Programming

Need a module programmed or coded without bringing the vehicle to us? We can connect remotely to the vehicle and perform the required programming or coding.

This service is available for repair shops, technicians and experienced DIY customers.

What is possible?

Based on the vehicle model and year:

  • Programming or coding replacement modules

  • BMW factory software updates

  • Module initialization and configuration

  • Vehicle order (VO/FA) coding

  • Retrofit coding

Requirements

  • A Windows 10 or Windows 11 laptop

  • A stable internet connection (speeds over 60 Mbps are strongly recommended)

  • An ENET cable or BMW ICOM

  • A proper battery charger/power supply for the vehicle

  • Administrator access to the computer

  • The ability to disable any third-party antivirus and firewall before the appointment

Mac computers are not supported, including Macs running Windows through a virtual machine.

Your computer must be ready to use before the appointment. Computer setup, antivirus/firewall configuration and general IT support are not included with this service.

How it works

  1. Purchase the remote programming service

  2. We contact you to schedule the session and send you a data package

  3. Connect your laptop and interface to the vehicle using the provided software

  4. We connect remotely and perform the requested programming or coding

Important

This service does not include diagnosis or troubleshooting.

The required repair and programming work must already be identified before the session. We do not diagnose warning lights, electrical problems, communication faults, no-start conditions or other vehicle issues as part of a remote programming session.

If additional troubleshooting or technical assistance is required, it must be arranged in advance and purchased separately.

The vehicle, computer, internet connection and communication interface must remain powered and connected throughout the procedure. An unstable setup, an accidental disconnection of the laptop or interface, or insufficient vehicle battery voltage can interrupt programming and may result in module failure.
