MEVD17.2.H DME Replacement & Programming

Replacement and programming service for Bosch MEVD17.2.H DME (Digital Motor Electronics) modules used in BMW vehicles equipped with the N63TU / N63TU2 twin-turbo V8 engine.

A replacement DME cannot simply be installed into the vehicle. The replacement module must be properly programmed and matched to the vehicle's immobilizer system before the engine can operate normally.

BimmerPro performs the required programming and adaptation of the replacement DME so that it can be installed as a functional replacement for the original module.

Replacement DME Options

You may supply and mail in your own compatible replacement DME for programming.

Compatibility and correct hardware selection are the customer's responsibility when supplying a replacement module.

Alternatively, you may select a replacement DME supplied from BimmerPro's inventory. When the replacement module is supplied by BimmerPro, hardware compatibility with your original DME is guaranteed.

• Your original MEVD17.2.H DME
• Your replacement DME, if supplying your own module

If you select a BimmerPro-supplied replacement DME, only your original module needs to be sent to us.

Service Includes

• Replacement DME preparation
• Vehicle-specific programming
• Immobilizer / vehicle synchronization
• Transfer of required vehicle-specific information
• Programming of the replacement module to the appropriate BMW software configuration
• Bench testing and verification before return shipment

The completed replacement DME is returned ready for installation in the vehicle.

This service is intended to replace a faulty MEVD17.2.H DME. It does not diagnose unrelated engine, wiring, power supply, communication or vehicle faults.

When supplying your own replacement DME, compatibility remains your responsibility. Selecting a BimmerPro-supplied replacement eliminates this uncertainty, as we select the appropriate compatible hardware for your application.
